Jason has been in the business of purchasing, owning, managing, and financing income-producing real estate since 1991, translating into 25 years of hands-on experience. His combination of expertise, knowledge, and passion for the real estate investment management business has served him well as the CEO for the Skyline Group of Companies since Skyline’s inception in 1999.
Jason’s fundamental understanding of his business has made him a sought-after industry speaker and media pundit. He is widely recognized for both his entrepreneurial achievements and as a foremost expert in his field. Having first established his roots in real estate, he and his business partners quickly realized that Skyline was in the people business – and by surrounding themselves with passionate, like-minded investors and employees, Skyline has grown into a major Canadian real estate company spanning from coast to coast.
Jason’s thirst for growth and success are insatiable. That growth is fueled by Jason’s ability to recognize people who possess “star” qualities that will help Skyline expand existing strategies and explore new opportunities. Additionally, Jason enjoys meeting and speaking with investors, in order to align the interests of those wanting to own real estate that is typically only available to institutionally owned and managed groups. Whether at an investor’s kitchen table or in his own office, Jason always makes time for those who are an integral part of Skyline’s growth and success.
In 2008, Jason was named one of Canada’s “Top 40 Under 40,” and one of the country’s 40 most promising entrepreneurs by the prestigious Ivey School of Business. Following that, he successfully completed Ivey’s exclusive Quantum Shift Program, which is an elite, invite-only event attended each year by a very small privileged group of individuals. Jason was also a finalist for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2014, in the category of Real Estate.
Jason holds degrees from both the University of Guelph and York University. He has strong roots in Guelph, and still calls the area home with his wife and three children.
