December 8, 2011 – The Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) is Ontario’s leading advocate for quality rental housing and represents over 2,220 members who supply and manage apartments for over 360,000 households across the province.

Every year, FRPO hosts their annual M.A.C. Awards Gala (“M.A.C.” stands for Marketing, Achievement & Construction Awards) to recognize the industry’s top performers in over 15 categories ranging from Customer Service to Rental Development of the Year.   This year’s event was held on December 1st at the Metro Convention Centre in Toronto with over 700 guests in attendance, including Skyline.   Although this annual event has been held for many years, Skyline’s first submission was made three years ago.  Since that time, over the past three years, Skyline has received 8 nominations and has won 6 awards in 5 unique categories.  In fact, Skyline was presented with the “Outstanding Community Service” award two consecutive years in a row in 2009 and in 2010 and was nominated again this year.  This is no small feat for a private entity from Guelph when competing against some of the country’s largest public and multi-national companies.   “We want to thank our Skyline staff, and our valued tenants, investors and business partners alike for their continued support of Skyline as we are honoured to have been recognized among the top three in our industry in three separate categories”, says Roy Jason Ashdown, Chief Sustainability Officer of Skyline Apartment REIT.  “In addition to the Outstanding Community Service nod, much deserved recognition was also given to our hardworking field staff with nominations in both the Resident Manager and Property Manager of the Year categories.  We will continue to work hard to be a valued community partner, provide accommodations of choice for our tenants and offer a solid investment opportunity to our investors.   Congratulations to all of this year’s FRPO M.A.C. Award winners!”
