On Friday, June 30th, 2017, the Skyline Retail REIT purchased its first property in the city of Thunder Bay, ON. The property at 399 Main Street was purchased for $39.75M and comprises 7 buildings, with 168,087 square feet of retail commercial space located on 16.4 acres.

The property is adjacent to Intercity Shopping Centre, Thunder Bay’s dominant enclosed mall.

Anchor tenants include LCBO, Dollarama, Mark’s Work Wearhouse, Home Outfitters, and Michaels.

Post-acquisition, the Skyline Retail REIT comprises 65 properties in 43 communities across Ontario and Quebec, with more than 2.1M square feet of retail space.
