Skyline earns top honours, four times, at industry awards of excellence gala

On Thursday December 2nd, the Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) held their annual MAC Awards Dinner & Gala at the Metro Convention Centre in downtown Toronto.  FRPO is Ontario's leading advocate for quality rental housing, and has more than 800 members representing over 250,000 rental suites in Ontario. The MAC Awards Gala is the most important annual event for FRPO members and is well attended by over 700 rental housing providers. This event provides a unique forum for recognizing excellence in the residential rental housing industry, simply put; it is the Oscars of the apartment industry.  At this annual event, MAC Awards, which stands for (Marketing, Achievement & Construction) are handed out to the industry’s highest achievers and top performers in key categories.

This year’s MAC awards had over 120 unique submissions and we are very proud and excited to announce that Skyline won four (4) 2010 MAC Awards. With only 16 categories of awards in total, winning 4 awards is a very notable achievement; especially when you’re up against tough competitors, namely the industry’s larger public entities. Skyline is truly honoured to have received such a notable level of recognition for our many efforts and our ongoing commitment to our business and our many communities.  We also realize that none of this would be possible without the support of all our investors, suppliers and staff, so thank you to all of you!

Among Skyline’s four awards is the honour of the “Outstanding Community Service Award” which Skyline has now won two years in a row.  This is a remarkable achievement as Skyline truly prides itself in its charitable and community efforts.  Skyline also won “Rental Development of the Year” for our Place Sainte Marie repositioning initiative in Haileybury, Ontario, “Resident Manager of the Year” for one of our remarkable on-site building staff at our 1223 Richmond Street building (in London, ON) and “Curb Appeal, Rental Development” for our renovation project at our 55 Yarmouth Street building (in Guelph, ON).

“To win the “Outstanding Community Service Award” for the second consecutive year is a true testament to the commitment and dedication of our Skyline Team.   We are proud to be the example of true social responsibility and are thankful that our investors allow us to give back on their behalf.   Without the support of our valued investors and business partners, we would not be in a position to do all the good we do in our community”.

- Roy Jason Ashdown, Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer of Skyline

Each of these awards is true validation of Skyline’s commitment to the communities in which we exist.  From our resident managers in the field to our community and charitable partners across the province, Skyline is committed to excellence in every facet of our business. It is also highly valuable third party praise and validation that will help build our brand and continue to make Skyline the rental accommodation of choice for many families across Ontario.
