The Senate apartment is located close to the University of Western and houses many students.  The central location of the building caters well towards Western students as it is less then a 5 minute walk to campus.

Residents of the Senate apartments will find restaurants, shopping, and entertainment within a 5 minute drive. Some stores located at the Masonville Mall at the corner or Richmond Street and Fanshawe Park Road include Lowblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, The Bay, Sears, LCBO, and many others. City of London

In 1793, Lieutenant Governor John Graves Simcoe first surveyed the Forks of the Thames and proposed to build "New London" here as the capital of Upper Canada. Although the capital was eventually built elsewhere, London has grown into the largest city in Southwestern Ontario, and one of the loveliest cities in Canada. With miles of beautiful pathways and acres of rolling parkland, London truly is the Forest City. Low traffic, easy air access and friendly people make London a perfect place to visit.

Parks & Trails

Springbank Park is open from dawn to dusk all year round. Its pathways are part of the 30 kilometer system used by strollers, cyclists, runners and roller-bladers. Other features to enjoy include picnic grounds and a playground area, the merry-go-round outside StorybookGardens and seasonal flower displays.

Testimonial

I chose to live at the Senate while pursuing a Masters degree at The University of Western Ontario mainly because of its convenient location close to campus and because of the nice layout of the apartment they had for rent.  While the location and pleasant apartment were unquestionable benefits of living at the Senate, my overwhelmingly positive experience here had much more to do with the kindness and support of the managers, Stan and Mohammed.  I have lived in a number of rental apartments and I have NEVER experienced such wonderful, caring, personal attention.  I have never seen either Stan or Mohammed without a smile and a kind, interested word.  They have never hesitated to offer a helping hand – quickly and efficiently.  Whenever I had an issue it was dealt with immediately and with sincere concern for my comfort.  Efficiency, attention to detail, a regular smile and kind words for a tenant – these are the things that you can expect every day at the Senate, but what constantly amazed me about Stan and Mohammed was how they went above and beyond “good customer service” every single time I needed them.  I could give many examples, but one will serve.  After a difficult move into the building, Stan followed up constantly on any issues I had until every single issue had been dealt with.  He then went far beyond his responsibilities in putting up the new curtains I’d bought and to top it all off, when I had settled comfortably into my apartment he appeared at the door with a huge bouquet of  flowers to apologize for any inconvenience I had experienced.  No one I told this story to could believe it.  I have never felt so well taken care of as I am at the Senate.  It is not a cliché to say that Stan and Mohammed treat their tenants like family – as a tenant you can feel their sincere concern for your comfort and happiness.

If I knew anyone who was looking for an apartment in this area or a parent who was sending their child to Western, I would not hesitate to recommend the Senate.  Yes, it is conveniently located and the apartments are nice, but what stands out is the wonderful atmosphere created by the kindness, care and sincere interest with which Stan and Mohammed treat their tenants.

Sincerely,

Sandra Herber - Resident, The Senate
