Skyline Apartment REIT - Monthly Distributions

Distributions of the REIT’s net income are paid on a per unit basis to investors. Distributions are in essence the investor's share of the profits. Skyline’s REIT earns revenue from the rents charged to the tenants. We can increase profits (distributions) by effectively managing costs and lowering expenses, renewing mortgages at lower interest rates, controlling vacancy rates, and reducing turnover.

  • Monthly distributions
are paid out on the 15th of every month like clockwork

  • DRIP (Distribution Re-Investment Plan)
gives investors the opportunity to reinvest their distributions by purchasing more units instead of receiving cash every month

  • Distributions are currently tax deferred
    (to the extent possible)

  • Investors receive an annual T3 tax slip

How Distributions Are Calculated

Using an example where the investor has invested $110,000 at $11.00 per unit and is receiving a 9% distribution rate. Since Skyline pays its distributions on the 15th of every month, we'll calculate the monthly distribution.
