Skyline Staff Celebrate 3rd Annual "Month of Giving"

Posted On November 30, 2017

For the third year in a row, Skyline staff in Guelph, ON volunteered their time around the holiday season at various initiatives, including school nutrition programs at various schools in Guelph. Over 160 Skyline staff volunteered over the course of 45 sessions in November. This "month of giving" was an initiative for Giving Tuesday (November 28th, 2017), which marks the beginning of the "giving back" season, where charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for their favourite causes.

Below are just some of the ways in which Skyline staff participated in Giving Tuesday 2017:

  • Employees at Skyline's Head Office and Fountain Street office in Guelph, ON (over 160 staff total) participated in volunteering throughout November, preparing and serving healthy snacks to hundreds of hungry school kids at 45 "Food and Friends" nutrition programs organized by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph & Wellington. Skyline is proud to sponsor nine of these nutrition programs year-round.
  • We gave 47 moms, dads, kids and grandparents (14 families altogether) the magical Holiday season they deserve through Adopt-a-Family, another local initiative organized by the Children’s Foundation of Guelph & Wellington.
  • Additionally, to “wrap up” our Adopt-a-Family initiative in a special way, Skyline’s accounting team will be heading out to the Adopt-a-Family "Santa's Workshop" for a day of wrapping gifts for the families.
